IELTS: (International English Language Testing System). IELTS measures the ability to communicate in English across four language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking. It is designed for people who intend to study or work where English is the main language of communication. FCE: (First Certificate in English).
Difficulty level: Upper Intermediate/ B2 level.
The First Certificate in English is the most important of the Cambridge exams. The test has four sections: Reading and Use of English, Writing, Listening and Speaking. It is designed for people who intend to study or work where English is the main language of communication.
Business English Exams:
BEC: (Business English Cambridge)
We offer both BEC Vantage (Upper Intermediate) and BEC Advanced classes to both individuals and groups at our school premises in Donnybrook.These exams are at a similar level to both FCE and CAE (Cambridge exams in general English). They are recognised world wide and are suitable for students who have recently finished FCE or CAE exams and would like to concentrate on Business English before applying for their first job in the industry as well as those who are already working in companies who need to improve their practical skills such as business writing skills or communication skills. You will do practice tests as well as learn appropriate strategies to use in the BEC exam. These exams take place in June and December. TOEIC: (The Test of English for International Communication).
We assist students who are studying for the TOEIC test which is a business English test used by companies when recruiting staff around the world to assess your level of English in a business context. This exam is held in various exam centres in Dublin. Classes are held at our schools in Donnybrook and city centre.The test comprises of 200 multiple choice questions divided between Listening and Reading sections and lasts 2 hours. This exam takes place every month so there is ample opportunity to do this test whenever it suits. See the "Links" page for further information.
